DAW books is actively seeking new works of science fiction and fantasy written by and/or featuring people of color, Native people, disabled people, neurodiverse people, LGBTQIA+ people, and those from other underrepresented or marginalized communities. Crossed Genres is now open to submissions, and will close again on August 15th. They ware paying 7 cents per word for stories about resisting fascism. Word count is from 250-8,000 words. Full details can be found here.

 Cemetery Dance magazine is accepting submissions from June 5, 2018 until July 5, 2018 from authors who have never sold a story to the magazine before. If you’ve already had a story accepted for publication in the magazine, please wait for the next reading period. They are looking for stories up to 5,000 in length, and pay is pro rates. PodCastle is open for submissions until June 30th. They are looking for stories up to 6,000 words, and pay 6 cents per word. Full submission guidelines are here.

Apex Publications will be accepting unsolicited submissions of novels/novellas January 1st through January 31st.

Apex will consider novellas in length of 30,000 to 40,000 words and novels in length up to 120,000 words, and are particularly looking for novels that fit within the dark sci-fi category. Dark fantasy and horror submissions are also welcome. A literary agent is not required for submission.
